The mission of the St. Anthony’s Legacy Foundation is to support St. Anthony School, located in the heart of Brookland in the District of Columbia, in its effort to continue to provide a high quality, faith-based, values-centered education.
During e-mail chatter that travelled the internet to more than forty addresses across the United States and Central America, several members and friends of the St. Anthony High School Class of 1968 expressed their desires to honor the memory of past Tonies and to celebrate the value of our educational and neighborhood social experiences. In some manner, we would like to support the St. Anthony Grade School’s efforts to provide the high quality, values-based educational experience we received. We feel that the best way to do this would be to consolidate our resources, form a charitable non-profit organization, solicit donations, have fundraisers, seek grants, and support our Alma Mater, our childhood community, well into the future.

As we start out, our first financial goal will be to participate in the Angel Program of the Consortium of Catholic Academies in the Archdiocese of Washington. Advised by the Consortium that we are able to direct the funds we donate to aid a child at St. Anthony School, St. Anthony’s Legacy Foundation may be the first to help a Tonies student to benefit from the Consortium’s Angel Program. Donating in this way, we could be able to provide financial assistance that may enable an additional child to attend St. Anthony School.

With your enthusiasm and Tonies School Spirit encouraging us and helping us to succeed, our small all volunteer start-up organization will grow quickly to provide more benefits for students in the future.
